Studying Philosophy
A university student was relaxing by a large lake. It was hot, and no one was around, so he took off all his clothes and went skinny-dipping.
After a pleasant swim, he was about to climb out when he noticed a beautiful young woman sitting beside his clothes, reading. Unsure what to do, he dived to the bottom and searched until he found an old bucket someone had thrown in. Holding it over himself, he walked ashore.
As he approached, he asked, "What are you reading?"
She looked at him calmly, showing no surprise at his appearance. "I'm studying philosophy."
Glancing at his clothes, he asked, "Philosophy? Then can you guess what I'm thinking?" He glanced at the clothes again.
She studied him for a long time, then replied, "You think that bucket has a bottom. But it doesn't."
