Newlyweds
A couple had been married for two weeks. Although the husband was still deeply in love, he wanted to go drinking with his friends. "Darling, I'll be right back," he pleaded.
"Where are you going, my silly boy?"
"To the pub for a beer, my pretty face."
"You want beer, my love?" She opened the refrigerator and showed him twenty-five different beers from twenty-five countries: Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, and more.
He was at a loss. All he could think of was, "Yes, my sweet lollipop, but at the pub... you know... they have ice-cold glasses..."
Before he could finish, she interrupted. "You want a cold glass, puppy?" She produced a frosted glass so cold that holding it made her shiver.
Going a little pale, he said, "Yes, my thoughtful darling, but they have delicious snacks at the pub. I won't be long. I'll come straight back, I promise. All right?"
"You want snacks, my little bear?" She took five plates of different snacks from the fridge: fried chicken wings, grilled chicken feet, roast pork, and more.
"But, but, honey... at the pub, you know... there's swearing and filthy slang and all that."
"You want swearing, my honeycomb? Listen up, you blockhead! Drink your damn beer from your blasted frozen glass and eat the stupid snacks I've made, because you're not going anywhere! Got it, you monkey?"
And they lived happily ever after.
